Unionistas Salamanca 4-1 Barça Atlètic: Heavy defeat

Barça's reserves had not lost for 12 games, but they were soundly beaten on Sunday evening in Salamanca by a Unionistas side that had too much spark early on and ended up quelling the blaugrana flame that has burned so strong of late.

The game was just ten minutes old when Álvaro Gómez picked out Slavy on his own, giving Kochen the worst possible start on his debut for the team. in the 21st minute, the striker of Bulgarian origin netted for the second time when his head rose to meet a corner. And a first half for barça to forget ended when Losada converted an Alfred Planas assist to make it 3-0.

In the meantime, Barça didn't managed to theaten the home net at all until Unai Hernández came close second before the half-time whistle blew.

Barça Atlètic were a lot better after the break, and after a number of near misses, they finally opened their own account on 71 minutes thanks to Diego Percan.

There was a ray of hope, but it only lasted five minutes before Salamanca struck again. Rastrojo had only just appeared as a substitute before putting paid to any chance that the Catalans were getting anything out of this game. To rub salt into the wound, full back Trill marked his return from injury but suffering a new one and he had to replaced early in the second half.
