Barça Atlètic 1-0 Cornellà: Narrow victory

Diego Percan scores the only goal of the game to extend the unbeaten run to ten games

Barça Atlètic have continued their excellent form with a 1-0 win this Sunday against Cornellà. Diego Percan scored the only goal of the game after 71 minutes and also set up Moha for what was very nearly a second goal. That makes it ten games now since the reserves were last defeated with the next game coming up on Sunday 31 at 7pm CET away to relegation-threatened Osasuna Promesas.

The two Catalan sides were very tightly matched at the Johan Cruyff, and breaking down the rock-solid Cornellà defence proved mightily difficult, and the first half only brought three shots on goal, and just one of those was on target, with former blaugrana stopper Rubén Miño doing a fine job to keep his net clean in the first 45 minutes.

Diego Percan was gifted a chance shortly after the restart when his marker took a tumble, but he failed to put the chance away. But 15 minutes he got the chance to make amends, and didn't squander it. A lovely assist arrived from Mbacke on the wing and all he had to do was finish things off.

Barça Atlètic wanted more and very nearly got it with four minutes of regulation time left. Moha Moukhliss was through on goal but the visiting goalkeeper produced the save of the day, and followed that up with another fine piece of work to prevent 'Pocho' Román from heading his way onto the scoresheet.
