Back on April 19, 1956, the world was watching as Prince Rainier III of Monaco wed 26-year-old Grace Kelly at the Palace of Monaco.
It was the society event of the year, attended by many of the world’s Royal families, stars of stage and screen, as well as the most notable members of society, such as Aristotle Onassis and Conrad Hilton.
The day also had a special meaning for Barça fans, as it happened to be the debut of Eulogio Martínez, known as the 'Tin Opener.' He played in a match for the Blaugranes in Monaco during the celebration parties for the wedding.
He would go on to be the team’s top goalscorer for three years in a row (1956-57, 1957-58 and 1959-60), and also had the honour of being the first player to ever score at the Camp Nou, specifically in the inaugural match played against a Warsaw select team on September 24, 1957.
He's also known for scoring seven goals when Barça beat Atlético Madrid 8-1 in the Copa del Rey Round of 16 in the 1956-57 edition of the competition.
