The Hungarian Poszony was a former international player who took up coaching in 1921. In December 1922 he arrived in Barcelona as assistant coach to Greenwell, a post he occupied until August 1923 when he became first team coach for just two months until the signing of Spouncer (with whom he worked as assistant coach).
His second spell in charge came when Spouncer was sacked in 1924. In July of that year it was announced that Poszony would be coach for the upcoming season. However, in December he was sacked to make way for Ralph Kirby who joined as coach from Europa. He subsequently took over Gradanski of Zagreb for two seasons.
