Can non club members skate on the club’s rink?
Yes, anyone can use the rink, whether or not they are a member. But members do get special discounts.
Do you have to pay if you’re not skating?
No, if you’re not skating you don’t have to pay anything.
How old do you have to be to skate?
From shoe size 26 (UK, 8; N America, 11.5), about 4 years.
Should I wear skates that are two sizes larger than my normal shoe size?
No. You should wear the same size skates as the shoes you wear. This is very important for safety reasons, otherwise the foot might not be stable and you won’t be able to control the skate properly.
What are the largest and smallest skate sizes that you hire?
The biggest is 49 (UK: 8; N America: 11.5) and the smallest is 26 (UK, 14; N America, 14.5).
Do you have to reserve before coming to skate?
If you are a group of more than ten people (schools, groups, birthdays) then you have to reserve by phoning 93 493 36 00; smaller groups of clients do not need to reserve
What kind of clothing should I wear for skating?
Comfortable clothing, long sleeves and long trousers, and we recommend a warm jacket.
Are gloves compulsory?
Yes, for safety reasons, everybody must wear gloves.
Is a helmet compulsory?
A helmet is compulsory for under 12s and recommended for everyone else. You can bring your cycling, skiing or ice hockey helmet
Can you skate without socks?
No, you must wear socks and we don’t recommend that they should be too thick.
Can the ice rink be hired for activities?
Yes, it can be hired. You should contact us and we’ll prepare a budget and explain the conditions for use. The rink has been used for advertising shoots, and also for training camps for international skating teams who come to Barcelona to enjoy not only our facilities but also the magnificent city and its perfect climate. Please note that the rink is Olympic size.
Is there a Skating School?
Yes, there’s a skating school with courses for all ages and levels.
Can we hire a monitor?
Yes, we have monitors who can help you with your skating. They cost €31 an hour (according to availability) and must be reserved in advance.
Is there a restaurant?
On the Camp Nou grounds there is a restaurant in the Ice Rink and a couple of sandwich and fast food outlets: Pans & Company and the FCB Carpa.
What are the nearest metro stations to the Camp Nou?
Line 5: Collblanc and Badal, and Line 3: Maria Cristina, Palau Reial and Zona Universitària.
Is there parking at the Camp Nou for my vehicle?
Yes, parking is available on any day provided there is no match at the Camp Nou. If arriving by vehicle you can enter via access 14 in Avinguda Arístides Maillol, s/n – on the corner with Travessera de les corts. Parking is free.
If I want to spend a nice day at the Camp Nou, apart from skating, what else can I do?
You could visit the Camp Nou Experience, where you will get to explore the Museum and learn all about the history of Barça, its titles, and see some of the shirts worn by famous players of days gone by. And you can tour the stadium , admitting such places as the players tunnel as if you were one of the team, take your photo at pitch level, enjoy the spectacular new multimedia zone, gasp at the immensity of the Camp Nou and then buy some souvenirs in the FCBotiga Megastore.
