After beating Kobe and Gasol's Lakers in 2012 and the Sixers in 2006, Barça Regal claimed its third victory over an NBA team this Tuesday
Barça Regal made history this Tuesday when Pascual's men beat the Dallas Mavericks in a match that was an absolute beauty to behold for the spectators in the jam-packed Palau Sant Jordi.
Third NBA team to fall to Barça Regal
This was the third victory over an NBA team for the Blaugrana. In 2006, Allen Iverson and Chris Webber’s Philadelphia Sixers succumbed to Barça Regal (104-99). It was the Club’s first victory over a North American team.
Four years later, in 2010, the challenge was even more daunting. The Blaugrana faced off against the reigning NBA champions, the Los Angeles Lakers, led by two of the best basketball players on the planet, Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol. Pascual’s men came out on top and claimed the win thanks to a 92 to 88 scoreline.
This Tuesday it was the Dallas Mavericks’ turn. Dirk Nowitzki, OJ Mayo, Vince Carter, Shawn Marion and company were defeated by Pascual’s men. The victory, Barça’s third against NBA teams, ratifies the quality of Barça Regal’s 2012/13 roster.
