Barça Regal's new Australian power forward says that he's arrived "to a great team that has a winning tradition. It's a good thing that I came here"
Nathan Jawai is Barça Regal’s second signing of the 2012/13 season after the former Real Madrid player, Ante Tomic, committed to the Azulgranas earlier this summer. The Australian said that “I’ve come to help the team and the coach. If he tells me that I have to get rebounds, I’ll get them. If he asks me to score, I’ll try my best to do it.”
The power forward made it clear that his first objective is to get to know his new teammates: “my first goal is to have good chemistry with the team.”
Proud to be a Barça Regal player
Jawai didn’t mince words when he was asked about the team managed by Xavi Pascual, “Barça are a great team, with a winning tradition. It’s a good thing for me that I came here.” Moreover, from a personal standpoint, Jawai believes that he’ll be able to utilize his physical and technical attributes in Barça’s system: “in this Club I’ll be able to give my very best and I’ll learn to improve my game from excellent players, I’m very grateful that I signed with Barça.”
Finally, Jawai said that he was Joe Ingles’ teammate in the Australian national youth team and that they share “a close relationship.”
