Speaking at the official press conference, Navarro commented: “this is my seventh Final Four and every time you have a responsibility to do your best”.
Xavi Pascual reckons: “against Madrid it will be unlikely that there will be many surprises as we have played each other so many times”.
24 hours ahead of the Final Four clash between Barça Regal and Real Madrid, Xavi Pascual and Juan Carlos Navarro spoke to the media in London. Moments before the press conference the Top Five Players of the Euroleague were announced – Tomic was one of them- as well as the MVP - Vassilis Spanoulis.
“This is my seventh Final Four and every time you have a responsibility to do your best. Every Final Four has something special”, according to the Barça Regal captain Juan Carlos Navarro. With all that experience, Navarro believes: “you’re not as nervous as the first time. I’ve been in the NBA, but never in a play off or really important games, but a Final Four is at the same level. Playing against Madrid is special too and we couldn’t ask for more”.
“A Clasico in a Final Four is special”
Xavi Pascual is hoping for an attractive game for the fans: “it will be unlikely that there will be many surprises as we have played each other so many times, but I am convinced it will be a spectacular game and being a clasico in the Final Four, it’ll be something special”. Commenting on the injury worries for the team, Pascual revealed: “Jawai is virtually ruled out, but we will do what we can until the last minute to make sure he has a chance. Wallace and Todorovic have problems, but everyone will do their utmost to help the team”.
