One of the standout players in Barça Regal’s convincing win over UCAM Murcia was Marko Todorovic. The power forward put in an impeccable performance against UCAM and he finished the match with 9 points, 4 rebounds and 1 block in his 16 minutes on the court. In addition, he sunk all of his two-point (3) and three-points (1) attempts, and finished the match with an overall evaluation of 10.
The 20-year-old Montenegro national has showed off his skill in the three official games he’s played for his new team. He didn’t get any time on the court in the first match day of the League, while in the second, despite losing to Bilbao, he scored 6 points and secured 6 rebounds in his 9 minutes on the court.
After the match against Murcia, manger Xavi Pascual talked about Todorovic’s performance: “There’s been a turning point in his improvement, he’s growing exponentially. Frankly, I’m quite pleased with him. He has a long way to go, and if he continues along these lines the day will come when the whole world will talk about him.” He added: “He still has to experience a lot of things, but at the moment we’re very pleased with his initial stage of improvement.”
Todorovic feels good, ready
The Barça Regal player recognised that it’s difficult to get a spot on the Barça Regal team and that he has to work extra hard to earn time on the court: “I feel good and this is a good group of players. There’s a lot of competition and you have to work really hard to earn minutes on the court and that’s good for me. Seeing that I’m the youngest player, I have to work harder. I’m physically in shape and I believe that the manger will give me minutes if I do what he wants correctly.”
