Olympique Lyonnais join FC Barcelona in UWCL Final
FC Barcelona know who they will be meeting on May 25 in Bilbao in the final of the UEFA Women's Champions League. After seeing off Chelsea in their own semi-final, Olympique Lyonnais beat PSG in front of a lively crowd at the Parc des Princes.
The side coached by Sonia Bompastor had won 3-2 in the first leg, and then came out tops by 2-1 in the capital to surpass their compatriots 5-3 on aggregate, Sunday's goals scored by Selma Bacha and Dumornay. It means a third meeting between Barça and Lyon in the final, and this time Barça will be hoping for victory after losing both times that they met before.
In 2019, Lyon were comfortable winners in Budapest 4-1, and in 2022 in Turin they did it again, 3-1 in Turin. Olympique are certainly Barça's nemesis in the competition to date, so May brings an opportunity to bury those sore defeats in the past once and for all.
